Don't Suck Campaign

Don’t Suck campaign focuses on the impact of single-use plastic straws and their effect on our oceans, beaches, and overall environment. Plastic straws have been ranked in the top 10 list of items found on the beach during beach clean-ups since 1989, according to the Ocean Conservancy. These incredibly harmful plastic products can travel easily to the ocean–harming organisms, wildlife, and the general biodiversity of the beaches.

The Don’t Suck Brand serves as an educational piece around college communities. The primary touchpoint of the mock brand is the packaging design of stainless steel straws and their box container. The piece could be sold in dining halls, book stores, and other frequently traveled areas of campus to spread awareness of the harms of straws. It  also provides an accessible alternative to the dangerous plastic.

The secondary touchpoints consist of indoor and outdoor signage. The newspaper stands can be found in various locations throughout college campuses, especially near bus stops and outside of libraries and dining halls. Additionally, the three pull-up banners can stand as a full display together, or can be placed individually inside of frequently visited buildings.

This brand was designed through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
