Paycheck Protection Program
Background: As a result of Covid-19, the Small Business Association (SBA) created the Paycheck Protection Program, a relief program to provide small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits. With this, banks across the US were able to provide loans to their small business client’s and also forgive said loans if all rules from the SBA were followed appropriately.
Project: As the lead UX/UI designer working with a large US commercial bank, I designed and oversaw the implementation of the online portal where the banks’ customers could both apply for and receive forgiveness on a PPP Loan. We followed erratic yet strict government guidelines, complex laws, and fast development turn arounds, all while staying on brand. In addition to both customer-facing portal and emails, I maintained the upkeep of the internal bank portal, as well as clickable prototypes for all 3 portals.
